000016 - is it just me?
sometimes i think i would like to read minds
it would solve a lot of questions and mysteries for me i think. then again i might not necessarily like what i "read" either. i always wonder if other people think as much as i think sometimes and then do they think like i do? our own thoughts are quite hard to control sometimes; anything can initiate as a reminder including one of our senses like smell or sight. just when you thought you could forget something or someone, something will suddenly remind you.
having a rough day today as i didn't get home until 5:30am after last night's early night out! haven't been out this late in quite a while and i don't think i've drunk as much as i did since my uni days (1 breezer, 6 scotch & dry and 1 vodka lemon lime). don't have a hang-over or anything (i've never really had one), just tired.
reading one of my favourite online writer's journal today has made me think about how people would react in extreme situations. basically, his latest entry (day 136) talks about the recent electricity black-out across the eastern side of USA and Canada (toronto, i think). i'm not surprised at some of the initial reaction with a black-out... one would be more paranoid and cautious after 9/11... i'm actually surprised i haven't heard any stories of mass panic on the news (although i must admit i haven't been listening, watching or reading on current affairs much lately). it's also something to think how much we all rely on electricity nowadays in our everyday lives and how technology has changed our lifestyles. for me, one of the most interesting thing he mentioned in his entry was about how people used their mobile phones as torch-lights while trying to walk/crawl their way out of the dark and dead subways of new york!
finalised the cover colours and design today. so at least i felt like i've done something productive. here's a preview :
