000036 - time flies
the start of uni has both been nerve racking and exciting. i had my first day yesterday and basically met a lot of interesting and wonderful people. so far there's 10 of us in total doing the post-grad masters of design (multimedia design) at the national institute of design. a very wide mix of different cultures and backgrounds.
i guess what made me really excited about this course compared to the others on offer at other unis is that this one seem to give us a lot of autonomy. it's scary in terms of the feeling of no parameters and all at first, but i think this gives all of us more choice to do what we could possibly do. and i think that's what our lecturers are striving at.
self-motivation is also something i'll have to deal with as with our just mondays & tuesdays timetable implies, we have to make do with what we can for the rest of the week.
my hopes is that i can fit it all in, and including working (& finishing) my comic book(s), get a part-time job so i can have some dosh to survive and most of all have time to relax and spend with my sweetheart on weekends and whatnot.
i've also got link to a site called, omanga.net to download some really good scanslated manga and in browsing i found this review of a rather disturbing japanese movie called suicide circle. sounds and looks like a real sick movie. i'm still traumatised after watching audition. sick stuff i tell ya.
but remember kids, it's just all make believe. this stuff doesn't really happen in the real world of course. right? right?? nevermind.
