000048 - the home stretch
been a while since i last blogged. basically been way too busy with uni work. i thought i had got my project pretty much finished, as least the animation part, i just found a couple of mistakes already! ai-yai-yai-yah!!
guess i still got all the documentations to do anyway and i might as well get it at least close to perfect if not a close approximation of its ugly cousin... (O,o)
learnt quite a bit in the last 2 weeks though. had an intensive 2 days session in pro tools which is a pretty sophisticated sound editing program. also did quite a bit of css, flash actionscripting and preloading movies earlier this week. lost concentration during the indesign and dvd studio pro classes though
as you can see there's been quite a bit of technical mumble jumble on my mind of late, so enough of blogging about boring stuff like that.
those who are familiar with those karaoke wannabe singing shows on tv like american idol will quickly understand what a competition called comic books idols is all about. basically 10 contestants from around the world will compete online, posting their completed comic art assignments for the online community to vote each week until only 1 winner is chosen.
i was interested in entering last year but had only heard about it too late when there were noise about a local aussie making it big already in the competition. this year i'm just too busy. ah well, i'd probably not make it past the nomination/selection round anyways.
imagine how painful it would be, if everything in life was like a friggin' idol competition

"one of those contestants is pat mcgroin from scotland.
seebreast : pat, how did you think you went?
mcgroin : omg, ryan, i never thought i'd make it this far. after what i did at kfc i thought i'd be outta here!
seebreast : yes, you definitely shouldn't have ordered that bucket. and when you barfed all over our lovely judge paula...
mcgroin : hey, she shouldn't have humed 'opposites attract' while i was having my hot & spicy!!
seebreast ... well, let's hear what the judges had to say about your last performance then. randy said, 'boo yeah, you rock!' paula said, 'you @#$%er, i'm never gonna get those stains out!!' and simon said, 'put you hands on your head.'
mcgroin : ...
seebreast : see i made a funny joke, 'simon says', get it? get it?
audience :...
seebreast : c'mon, i'm funny right?
mcgroin : no, you're a dickhead
seebreast : .... yeah whatever. got anything else to add pat?
mcgroin : i'd love another happy meal! oh and hi ma, hi pa!!
looking forward to taking a break and then getting back to doing some drawings soon!
