long time no blog

spent most of friday and saturday filming our short horror/thriller film, dark room, at alex's place. making your own movie sure is fun but very tiring and exhausting. we had just the main actor on friday, recording some dialogue and also a few of the key flash sequences in the bathroom. yesterday, saturday, was the principal shooting day. we had both the actor and actress to film. i took more of a role as camera-man and cinematographer while alex did more of the directions. we were both very satisfied with what we achieved in 2 days, but we both also acknowledge that most of our hard work will be ahead of us during post-production and editting.

we also got a chance to go on the set of alex's filming making friend, marcel, movie. it's called floyd wants to die and the crew and production is very professional compared to our little amatuer attempt. marcel is shooting in 35mm and the camera alone is like 60kg! it was definitely an eye-opener.

now, i'm currently spending most of sunday on my individual project. i just made a few images of an apple being eaten and now making an image of a piece of poo. yes, you read me, a piece of shit. fun way to spend your sunday afternoon, i tells ya. i'm a bit stressed out about my indy project to be honest, haven't been able to figure out how to do all the actionscripting i want to do for flash and i got too much work with the group project as well as additional technology mini-projects!

i've been seriously very unmotivated about uni work lately. well, not necessarily the short film making project with alex. but everything else to uni, i just want to ignore and forget about it at the moment.

also spent last night updating a new layout for my 12121 website. nothing special, just an layout idea i had for just the front page. when i find time, i'll probably attempt to build more content. but don't hold your breath, i've got lots of other stuff waiting to be done.
