000058 - google this?!
i was checking my blog's stats just the other day and upon clicking to the referal page summary thingy, i got the following weird-ass list of referal to my blog from miscellaneous google searches, check these out:
google: titanic platinum grit
this one's not so strange, since i've probably talked about one of my favourite all-time australian comic book series, platinum grit, in my blog somewhere or rather. but honestly, i don't really know what platinum grit really is... hmm, maybe i should google it myself one of these days.
google: mybot virus
don't know what this might be referring to... must be that entry i once wrote about my syphilis and herpies problem.
google: what happened to gaijin magazine
easy peesy this one is. i did a freelance illustration of porn star mia smiles for then gaijin magazine which is now in magazine heaven.
google: download satorare trailer
again, not so freaky. satorare was a tv drama series i had watched and liked, i think a couple of years ago. there's a live-action movie that i have yet to see and also the original manga series that it was based on.
google: oracle 11i hospital
i have absolutely no idea what this one is about. i guess i had blogged about some hospitals i used to look after from my old work somewhere in this blog. or again, could be that entry about syphilis and herpies popping up again...
google: import "suit of armor"
what the --?! must be that entry where i talked about my secret project of building my own version of mobile suit gundam in my backyard because the koalas here are just rancid.
google: indy car joke between american made and indian made
ok, this one is way over my head like a 747. what kind of sicko would google something like this? no wait, what kind of sicko would write and publish this stuff online?!? why can't everyone just stick to straight soft-core porn like normal people?
google: total islands to make up hong kong
hang on, hong kong is an island? oh yeah, it is isn't it. someone must be googling one of those tough IQ questions like how many blondes does it take to change a light blub. the answer to that question and the googled one about hong kong islands are beyond me.
google: takeshi kaneshiro hot forum
gosh darnit, i gotta remember not to type, blog and publish my secret passionate crush for takeshi kaneshiro again. seriously though, chungking express is still one of my all time favorite movie, returner was kinda cool and house of flying daggers wasn't a bad movie either.
google: kodak LS443 diagnosis
ah yes, the kodak LS443 was my previous digicam. great little camera actually. very user friendly. i'd recommend it for anyone considering buying their very first digital camera.
google: "new york times" "design director" Bodkin
huh?! well, i wish i could write for the new york times and i wish i was a design director... hmm, i think i know why google hit my blog on this one. must have been that design seminar i went to last year. yeah, that whole agideas ordeal. in fact, now i remember bodkin, he was a cool cat and one of the few speakers i found interesting.
well, if anything this entry should give future google searches more weird-ass hits. (for those not in the know, there are no entries about my syphilis and herpies problems because i was only joking).
ahem.
anyway, if you have a fast internet connection and have a love for CGI or anime or even just cool kickass action movies, you need to go check this out: appleseed trailer!!
i'm already way over my limit this month but i just didn't care, i had to watch this baby and boy, was it worth creaming my pants! now, i need to go take a shower!!

Gaijin Magazine in Magazine Heaven
As someone who has lived in Japan for a number of years, and someone who has known the Gaijin editor Stu Ridley for even longer, I was surprised and amused to find out about the launch of this magazine. Ridley has a habit of jumping on to fads late (for example, the Asian culture fad) and then loudly proclaiming how cool he is for being a follower of these fads. The trouble is, he probably doesn't know that much about Asia and Asian culture (such as anime, kung fu movies), so I can't imagine how his magazine GAIJIN could have any depth. Perhaps that is why it failed -- people could see through it, and found it meaningless. As Sex Me said above: "Gaijin Mag is pretty interesting -- but it lacks something I can't put my finger on..."
What is lacks is credibility. For example, the name "GAIJIN" (non-Japanese foreigner) is an absurd one for this type of magazine. It is like calling a computer magazine "Wogs". I don't get it!
