000059 - teen batrisha

the above pic is a fan-art of a teenage version of batrisha that i finished inking last week. i've been having trouble getting in contact with the creator as a couple of emails i've sent to him keeps bouncing back. i've taken a lot of liberties changing her costume and also to draw her in my style, so i'm hoping dillon naylor (the creator) doesn't take any offense. meanwhile, i'm having trouble colouring this piece also. the basic colour scheme is pretty much fixed from dillon's original design. i've been meaning to experiment with painter and also my new wacom tablet.

lately, i've been struggling to get really motivated to draw knight-edge #4 or draw anything that the results satisfies me in fact. the week previous, while i pencilled the above piece, i also pencilled a platinum grit nils fan-art and a potential knight-edge wrap around cover/poster. i have no idea why i'm feeling like i am at the moment. i just know i should be taking advantage of the break i have now before uni starts soon.

i do know that partially, i'm a bit anxious after a job interview i had early last week. it went pretty good. i had a lot of common with the boss/creative director, he was a very nice and cool guy and their office is way too awesome. lots of toys and art books that i would love to own myself. i'm still waiting for him to get back to me, and i don't want to get too excited in case of bad news... but i really want it! hopefully, i can talk more about it soon.

weekend went by faster than a bullet train out of kyoto. had 2 friend's weddings to attend, tim's and eric's (not with each other you silly person you). both were pretty big events, which i suppost a wedding should be in anybody's life. also in the congratulations department for news this weekend i received an email from my best friend, terence, that he and his wife junny gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, named joshua.

anyway, i might blog again in a couple of days and see how unpatriotic i might be on australia day! XP~
