000061 - no bling bling for me please

a lot has happened since i last blogged, so let me just summarise to keep things below the scope of a thesis or war & peace:

- chinese new year for the year of the rooster started off not so full of celebrations for my family and i. my gran`ma's health has not been the most perfect in the last few months and the week before cnye, she fainted and had to be admitted to hospital. she's recovered well though, so now mum just been running around with my uncles looking for a good high care nursing home for her near us.

- i've been going thru a bit of child or rather teenhood nostalgia lately. spent the last week replaying super street fighter 2 turbo revival on my gba like a crazy person! i love street fighter 2 and i used to play this so much at the arcades (i was never much good tho). i even remember spending weekends over at my friend, sam bui's, place challenging each other when he had it on his super nes. i love most of the late 80's capcom games like Super Ghouls & Ghost, Strider, Final Fight, Dark Stalkers, etc. heck, i'm still a pretty big fan today, altho more on their artwork and character designs.

- spent the past 2 weeks working on the next new update/layout of knight-edge.com. so far so good, lots of CSS and javascript stuff that i had never attempted until now. i tried to keep it simple but it kind of grew into it's little monster project of it's own. hope to upload and launch it soon.

- just went to a meeting at uni tonight and got my new time table for this semester. while i've had almost 3 months off, i kind of think it's still not long enough!?! hope this year goes well. nervous.
