000076 - burger'd
watched quite a number of movies since i last blogged. let me see, hide & seek - somewhat predictable at the start and kinda a flat buildup, but the ending was pretty good. dawn of the dead - wow, been meaning to watch this one for a while and what an intense zombie action movie it was. white noise - it was ok, a bit disappointing. war of the worlds - wasn't going to see this except i got the tickets for a good cause and charity. great special effects but very disappointed with the happy ending. sin city - this was awesome!! amazed how accurate it was compared to the original comics. a different feel seeing it on a big screen compared to reading it years ago. the violence and the cheesey dialogue were quite provoking. rodriguez even did the music. recommended! saw - this was freaking great, too! kind of like a detective horror/thriller with a spectacular twist at the very very end. finding neverland - a great touching movie. johnny depp is becoming one of my all time favourite actors. wanted to watch peter pan again after seeing this movie. ray - this was great, too. a bit on the lengthy side though but very interesting to watch.

went to a gormet burger place called grill'd (menu pictured above) last friday. it's a new burger chain and one is conveniently next to my uni campus. while more pricey than your average maccas or HJ (or BK), they probably make the best burgers i've had yet. ordered a mighty melbourne, a sweet chilli chicken and a side of hot thick chips. very filling meal and they had the best chips!

not much to report on the comics side of things. i was able to track down back issues of lullaby: wisdom seeker, got #1 and #2 but still looking for a copy of #3. wish i could've been at the san diego comic-con international but i guess i will just have to live vicariously through some of my friends who went. such as my good friend jim.
